At Alchemical Foundry, the sculptural process is an act of transformation. Each piece begins in raw material and moves through heat, force, and intention to become something both physical and symbolic, a work shaped not only by hand, but by spirit. This is where metal becomes more than matter. It becomes expression, presence, and meaning.
Gary’s work is rooted in the elemental relationship between earth, air, fire, and form. Through grinding, shaping, welding, and refinement, bronze and metal are pushed beyond their industrial origins and guided into something timeless. The process is demanding and deeply physical, yet it is also contemplative; a balance of strength and sensitivity, discipline and intuition.
Every mark, contour, and finish is part of that evolution. Fire alters the surface. Pressure defines structure. Patina, texture, and form reveal the history of the piece as it comes into being. Rather than concealing the journey, Gary allows the process itself to remain present within the work, giving each sculpture a sense of life, memory, and enduring character.
This practice is grounded in craftsmanship, but it reaches beyond technique alone. Each sculpture is approached as a vessel for something deeper; a convergence of beauty, courage, divinity, and transformation. The feminine form may emerge as a symbol of grace, creation, and sacred energy, while the warrior presence reflects strength, guardianship, and resolve. Together, these forms speak to an eternal balance between softness and power, spirit and steel.
What results is not simply sculpture, but a kind of alchemy: material transformed through fire and intention into work that feels resonant, elevated, and alive.
